Principal's Message
Dear Clawson High School Families,
It is with great honor and pride that I will serve as the 19th principal of Clawson High School. I am ecstatic that we will celebrate the 100-year history of our school district during the 2024-25 school year, as my roots are deep in Clawson. With 14 family members who are CHS graduates and a 1996 graduate myself, I am passionate about CHS and dedicated to carry on the traditions and foster a rich learning environment for our students and families.
With over 20 years of experience in education, I started as a substitute teacher at the elementary and secondary level. As an English teacher at CHS, I chaired our writing committee that provided resources to help improve student writing skills as well as implementing English elective courses to pique student interests. I moved into a leadership role and have been the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for the past nine years leading the work to improve policies and practices into the digital world.
It is my privilege to work alongside our dedicated staff and talented students, and I believe we can build on the strengths of our supportive community and achieve our shared goals for Clawson High School. We, at CHS, want to make sure that you are prepared for your future and that your high school experience results in memories that will have meaning for a lifetime.
It gives me great pleasure to begin to welcome you back for the 2024-25 school year! As you know we have been busy throughout the summer preparing our buildings for your return to school, and though construction and updates are still ongoing, we remain optimistic and on schedule for the start of school. As we embark on this new school year and the many exciting opportunities to come, I want to thank you for choosing Clawson Public Schools! We truly have the most supportive, involved, encouraging, and invested community; thank you to all of you! I am truly proud to serve as your principal.
